Yesterday, I was invited by a group of Indonesian exchange students to attend a very special event called BATIK, which stands for A Bridge of Adventure: Taiwan-Indonesia Knowledge Exchange.
At first, I didn’t have high expectations for a student event. I even arrived late.
But it turned out to be much more enjoyable than I expected.
The event was organized by a group of Indonesian exchange students from the IISMA program at Lunghwa University. They are only here for one semester.
During the BATIK event, we were introduced to several unique cultural aspects of Indonesia. We even got to try on traditional Indonesian clothing. In addition, we were able to taste several Indonesian dishes that the students prepared themselves. It was a great event, tho.

I thought they would return after the winter break, but then I realized their exchange program here only lasted for four months. I gave each of them a small rose – not of much value, but a little token of my heart.
Who knows, maybe one day we’ll meet again. The world is round, after all – nothing is impossible.
I truly hope their paths ahead will be smooth and fulfilling.
And if possible… let’s keep in touch. 🌹✨
